Up until a couple of hours ago, I had been having a smooth sailing on the new gaming sensation called “Super Mario Run.” Just when I was getting ready to challenge my best friend, the endless running game started crashing on my iPhone.

The game app would crash out time and again when launched. On a few occasions, it crashed when I was just about to strike gold in the midst of an exciting session. Thankfully, a few tricks helped me resolve the problem. Here they are!

How to Fix Super Mario Run Crashing Issue on iPhone and iPad

Solution #1. Force Reboot Your iPhone

One of the first tricks that I tried to fix the crashing issue of this endless runner game was the force reboot. Luckily it worked for me.

Simply press and hold the ON/Off button and Home button at once for about ten seconds on your iPhone and iPad until you see Apple logo on the screen.

On iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, you need to press and hold the On/Off button and volume down button at once.

Solution #2. Lower Rendering Setting and Graphics Setting

If the first trick doesn’t work in fixing the issue, then lower the rendering as well as graphics setting of the game, reboot your iPhone and try to play it again.

Solution #3: Reset All Settings

Try resetting your device to factory setting. It won’t remove any photos or data from your smartphone. Go to Settings → General → Reset → Reset All Settings.
