Snapiel TORRAS screen protector review

Whenever you buy a new iPhone or any other smartphone for that matter, you put down a substantial amount of money for it. While you might use the device with care, accidents happen. And to prevent these accidents from breaking your bank, you need a screen protector, as displays are the costliest to replace.

I recently got the chance to use the Snapiel TORRAS screen protector. And it comes at the top of the products I’ve used, and there’s something really special about it. Read along to know what it is.

Unboxing experience of the Snapiel TORRAS

The packaging of the Snapiel TORRAS is really good. You get a guidance frame that’ll help apply the screen protector, a wet-wipe, a dry-wipe, and dust removal stickers. And the box is filled to the brim. The screen protector is stored in a polyurethane foam pouch stored in an envelope. The envelope also has some paperwork, manuals, etc.

Another cool tool you get in the box is the scraper that can be used to remove the bubbles, which I doubt will appear if you follow the steps correctly. And hey, even if you mess up, worry not, as you get an adhesive repair patch allowing you to remove the screen protector and apply it again.

What is the adhesive repair patch, and how to use it?

There are times when you don’t pay heed to the instructions and mess up the application of screen protectors, and this leaves air bubbles caused due to dust particles or also because the adhesive dries out, and that’s where the repair patch comes in.

Follow the steps below if you want to know how to use the adhesive repair patch,

  1. Remove the screen protector from the device.
  2. Peel off the adhesive repair patch.
  3. Use the adhesive repair patch as a dust remover on the screen protector’s adhesive side.
  4. Once done, you can re-apply the screen protector and make sure to clean the display thoroughly.

Ease of application

As mentioned before, the in-box contents of the Snapiel TORRAS include:

  • Wet and dry wipes.
  • Dust removal stickers.
  • A scraper.
  • A guidance frame to help assist you in applying the screen protector.

The guidance frame is a godsend. All you need to do is clean the screen of your iPhone, set the frame, and just align the screen protector with the frame and apply it. Just follow the steps in the manual, and you’re good to go.

We got two review units of the Snapiel TORRAS, one for the iPhone 13/Pro and one for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I tested both of these, and I can assure you the application process is as easy as pie.

While applying the screen protector to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, I encountered a huge air bubble as the screen protector, and the screen came in contact. However, in a couple of seconds, it was gone.

In-hand feel of the Snapiel TORRAS

If you want a screen protector that replicates the in-hand feel of your iPhone’s screen, Snapiel TORRAS is the one you should get. Trust me, the oleophobic coating of the screen protector is as good as the oleophobic coating of the iPhone’s screen.

The screen protector’s glass is thin but goes to the edges, leaving enough space for a case to fit in. Even if you plan on not using a case, the glass is thick enough to provide protection and thin enough that you don’t get a bumpy swipe every time you’re using the swipe to go home gesture.

180-day warranty

You read that right. Snapiel provides a 180-day warranty with its TORRAS screen protector. There are certain terms and conditions to this, and to read more about them.

Now, should you go ahead and get one of these? Absolutely yes! While TORRAS is costlier, it also comes with a 180-day warranty period. That is 6 months of warranty on a screen protector. So, if you need one of the best, go for it!
