Depending on your past behavior, time of day, location, Siri suggests you apps. As for instance, if you use Apple News in the morning, the News will be listed every morning at the bottom right of the lock screen on your iPhone.
The proactive feature lets you find apps a lot faster and easier. You don’t have to spend time in thinking about which app you wish to use at a particular time.
Today, I didn’t see Siri suggested apps on the Lock screen on my iPhone running iOS 10 in the morning when I regularly use, News, Flipboard or several other apps. I gave a try to a few tricks and the Siri app suggestion began to work properly. Here are the tricks that let me fix Siri App Suggestions.
Siri App Suggestions Not Working on iPhone and iPad? Tips to Fix It
Suggested apps work with the Siri App Suggestions widget. Hence, if the widget has not been added to the list, the app won’t show up on the Lock screen.
Step #1. Swipe from the left bezel to go to the widget screen.
Step #2. Next, you need to scroll down to the bottom.
Step #3. Now, tap on Edit.
Step #4. Next, make sure Siri App Suggestions widget has been included in the list.
If it’s not there in the above list, simply find it under More Widgets and tap on the green plus button to include it. (To manage widgets perfectly, check out this post.) In the end, make sure to tap on Done to confirm.
Solution #2: Take Siri Suggestions and Location Services into Account and Reboot your iPhone
Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iPhone → Tap on General.
Step #2. Tap on Spotlight Search.
Step #3. Turn off Siri Suggestions.
Step #4. Open Settings → Privacy.
Step #5. Location Services and turn it off.
Now, reboot your iPhone (Press and hold the Home and sleep/wake button at once on older iPhone and iPad. To reboot iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, just press and hold the volume down button and sleep/wake button at once) and toggle on Siri Suggestions and Location Services switches.
Solution 3: Reset All Settings
It won’t delete any media or data of your iPhone but set it to the factory settings.
Open Settings app → General → Reset → Reset All Settings.
I’m pretty confident these tricks will get the job done for you. However, if you have any other tip of fixing this issue, feel free to shoot your views in the comments below, on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus. Also, try out our iOS app on your iPhone and iPad.
