Fnd.io: Search iTunes App Store Without iTunes

A long time back we wrote about Uquery.com – a typical “search iTunes app store without iTunes” website that let you search apps on the App Store through your browser (instead of the App Store app or iTunes). While that’s gone now, there’s another website here.

Fnd.io looks like a beautiful website that will let you search apps on iTunes app store without iTunes. I’m really loving this interface. And there’s a lot of features on Fnd.io that makes it a bookmarkable website. Read on.

Cool Interface, Quick Search

Like I said before, Fnd.io has an interface that’s far better than, say, the erstwhile Uquery.com. It’s simple (like Google Search). You start by typing a few keywords.

Not Just Apps

But unlike Uquery or Vionza.com, Fnd.com lets you search not just apps but a lot more. Here’s what you can search on iTunes/App Store through Fnd.io:

  • Apps
  • Music
  • Movies
  • TV
  • Books
  • Mac apps
  • Podcasts

The “All” search gives you the top three results from each section. Clicking on each section gives you more results.

Reviews, YouTube Videos!

The app lists are not just descriptions and screenshots. Fnd.io also searches YouTube for related videos (most of them end up to be reviews of the apps you searched for) and lists them.

Country

One of the best features of all, you can do country-specific search. That small icon on the top-left – click that and you can select a country. This is helpful because many apps are available only in some countries. You can only purchase apps from the country your Apple ID is associated with (more like based on where your credit card info works).

Search Various Countries iTunes App Store Without iTunes

Overall, if you’re looking to search iTunes/App store without using iTunes, on the web, Fnd.io is the best place to do that.

Check out Fnd.io here. An alternative is Vionza.com but it’s severely limited to apps and only a handful of countries.
