From a humble photo-sharing app to an interactive platform, Instagram has evolved to engage users in a better way. Apart from its walkie-talkie, there are some more interesting updates rolled out by Instagram recently to enable users to use questions sticker for music recommendations in Stories or get a new interactive sticker in Stories that lets you count down to upcoming moments with your friends.
The new music in Stories feature allows “your friends to respond to your questions sticker with a song from the music library, and you can share your favorites with your story. Whether you want fresh music to get in the holiday mood, or new tunes to get you through the last few weeks of school, your friends can now help you find the perfect tracks.”
New Instagram Updates Help Users Connect Through Music on Stories
When you use questions sticker in Live, there appears new music icon. Your friends can select a song from the music library to share with you when they reply. You can open the viewer’s list to see all the responses and then tap on the Play button to enjoy the songs.
While you are sharing your favorites to the story, you can click a photo or video as the music plays in the background. Surprise your friends with new camera effects that respond to the beats and sounds of a song. For this, simply swipe to ‘Music’ in the camera and you can see new icons above the camera capture button.
Note that the music features will be available on the latest Instagram version on iOS in specific regions where Instagram music library is available.
Use Instagram Live to connect with your loved ones
Question sticker in Live is a brilliant innovation by Instagram. By using this feature, you can ask questions to people you appreciate. For example, you can ask questions to your choice of beauty blogger; ask anything about festival makeup, and they can respond with some quick tips. You can also connect with a basketball player to know how you can basket the ball when surrounded by opponents.
If you want to ask questions and get answers Live, open someone’s story and reply to their questions sticker. When they go Live to answer, you can see ‘Q&A’ in your stories tray. Here, you can join the Live video and see your questions being answered.
In case you have more questions when someone is already live, just go back to their story to ask a question, and your query will appear in a list of their questions.
Instagrammers, who go Live, can share photos and videos from camera roll to Live video. This gives you an opportunity to see the real contents from the people you follow or love.
Countdown Sticker in Stories
Instagram has also released a countdown sticker in Stories. Users would surely like this one as they can set a countdown to a Christmas party or a holiday trip.
To set a countdown, take a photo or video and add a countdown sticker to your story from the sticker tray. Next, add an end date or time and customize color before sharing to your story.
Once the countdown is created, it will remain there in your sticker tray so that you can reuse in new stories until the countdown ends.
Though Questions in Live may not be available globally, this countdown can be used by all iOS users worldwide. When you share countdown, your friends can tap on it to follow or share it with their stories.
The social media landscape is broadening its reach to keep users happily engaged. For the next few weeks, Instagrammers will explore the two new features. And when they are fed up with these features, Instagram will be prepared with new features to entertain people.
