If you're the adventurous backpacker, Mophie wants to bring you a Juice pack for the iPhone 5 which not only adds more battery/power to your iPhone. It adds more “space” too and hence the name: Space Pack.
Debuting at the CES 2014 (and available by March 2014 according to the official website), this is one of Mophie's latest juice packs for the iPhone 5/5s. Mophie's juice pack series has been a popular, “extra battery life” case for the iPhone. Now, Mophie wants to level up the game by letting you get more storage space too.
Mophie's Juice Pack series usually boasts of doubling the life of your iPhone. This comes in handy when you have to go on some kind of an adventurous trip that involves not charging the iPhone in a day or two. A typical fair-use of iPhone usually drains all the battery in about 24 hours or less. With the juice pack on, your iPhone would last longer – in many cases, as much as twice longer.
There are a lot of other iPhone 5 battery cases too. The one from Belkin is popular too and is the usual competitor to Mophie's Juice Pack.
At the CES 2014, Mophie seems to have tried to add an extra feature that would be hard not to notice: double/triple the space available on your iPhone 5/5s. The Mophie Space Pack comes in a 16GB and a 32GB variant. If you have a 16 GB iPhone 5s/5, you can extend that to 32GB or 48GB with the Mobile Space Pack.
However, the Space Pack's extra space cannot be “attached” to iPhone's memory. You can use the extra space via Mophie's iOS app (which is free). You can, of course, add all sorts of files to this extra space – managed through the app. Not only this but you also get AirDrop and AirPlay support via the app which lets you access the files and transfer them with the right support (AirPlay or AirDrop).
Funny comments from across the web point out that a 16/32GB microSD card attached to an Android phone makes more sense and is far cheaper but iPhone 5s/5 owners know how important this could be, especially when you want both the extra space and the extra battery at the same time.
What do you think of the this iPhone 5s/5 accessory?
