Apple has announced macOS Sierra at WWDC16. There are a number of all advanced features like brand new Siri, Universal Clipboard and more.

As expected, Apple has once again done what it always does at its very best. By replacing OS X with macOS, it has not only simplified the name of OS that powers up Macs but also added a lot of highly user-friendly features such as, Siri, Universal Clipboard and more.

“OS X the name has been with us for over 15 years, and it’s served us well. We realized there’s a name that’s so much clearer, and so much simpler.” Renamed to macOS!

#1. Continuity, iCloud, and the fundamentals: Huge focus on Continuity, iCloud, and the fundamentals of the Mac experience.

#2. Auto Unlock: “Continuity is like magic… we wanted to take on one task we all do when we start our Macs. That feature is called auto-unlock.” This is pretty basic stuff, but happy it’s here.” You can now auto unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch. Hence, if you have an Apple Watch on, you no longer need to enter your password.

#3. Continuity feature: The all new Continuity feature is Universal Clipboard. The clipboard has been developed to work across the Mac and iOS.

#4. Make room for new files: You can now make room for new files by moving old ones to the cloud.” You will be able to do away with the files you’ll never use again – automatically.” Safari web cache, old mail, etc.

#5. Apple Pay on the web, through Safari: While shopping online, you will have an Apple Pay button. When you pay, you will receive a prompt to authenticate on your phone or watch with TouchID or a tap on the wrist. Safari-esque tabs to any app.

#7. Siri is on the Mac: Icon up in the top left of the menu bar. And in the dock. Click the dock icon; Siri pops up in the corner. Siri can show files in the Finder. It can also tell jokes. You will be able to do image searches right from Siri and then use those images right in your Keynote presentation.You will also be able to send Messages right from Siri. With the use of Siri, you can open Safari and then pay with Apple Pay.

#8. Universal copy and paste: You can now copy and paste between iOS and Mac.
