How to Fix iTunes Error 14 When Updating your iPhone/iPad to iOS 10 Beta

If you have run into iTunes error 14 when updating to iOS 10 beta on your iPhone or iPad, must check out this trick to fix the issue quickly.

Finally, iOS 10 has arrived with a good many new features designed to rev up iOS experience. Whether it’s redesigned Apple Music, revamped Messages, vastly improved Photos or Siri SDK, the latest iOS ecosystem looks quite impressive right from the onset, doesn’t it?

With a view to making the most of the brand new features, I couldn’t help rushing with the process of installing iOS 10 beta on my iPhone. Unfortunately, I encountered “error 14” when updating to the iOS beta on my iOS device. I was not alone to have faced with this problem as a number of iPhone/iPad also reportedly ran into the same issue.

#1. Though the downloading and installing the iOS 10 beta may take a lot of time due to massive traffic, it’s an altogether different problem.

#2. While restoring from the backup, iPhone users are unable to make the upgrade.

#3. Earlier with iOS 8 and 9, you could update to the new software while restoring from the backup. But, it doesn’t seem to be working now.

How to Fix iTunes Error 14 While Installing iOS 10 Beta on iPhone or iPad

Step #1. First of all, you need to backup your device.

Step #2. Next up, you will have to do a clean restore of iOS 9.3.2. (Make sure to clean restore iOS 10 using the IPSW file you have downloaded before restoring your personal backup. Once you have installed iOS 10, go ahead with the data backups.)

Step #3. Just in case, it’s not working, you have to check your USB device, and use another device. (You must ensure that you have installed the Xcode 8 on your Mac)

Several users have reported that doing a clean restore with the use of Xcode 8 fix the issue.
