iStick: iTunes Alternative to Transfer files Between iPhone and Windows

iStick is probably the best iTunes alternative for Windows users. In fact, I’d go out on a limb and say that it’s a better solution than iTunes for almost all the things you use it for. iStick provides an easier way of copying files between your iPhone and your Windows computer.

iStick is the latest avatar of PhoneStick, software we reviewed much earlier. The developers behind PhoneStick have revised the features and made the software more robust, quicker and better at handling a lot of media. Using iStick is a breeze, and it makes you forget all the hassles of syncing your photos and music via iTunes.

As a part of the launch, Softorino is letting us give away five license codes for iStick. That’s five license keys worth $89.99-each for software that’s just amazing both for its simplicity and functionality. Click here to tweet about it (to win a license for iStick).

If you struggle with iTunes sync and face issues when trying to copy music or photos on your iPhone/iPad and Windows PC, iStick will help you overcome all of that.

How does iStick work?

iStick “mounts” your iPhone as if it’s a flash drive. It divides the iPhone into a few relevant sections: Media, Books, iOS file system, Root and most notably, USB Stick.

The Media thing is what makes iStick work awesomely. It lets you copy-paste all your music, photos, and videos just as you’d copy-paste between two folders. It’s as simple as that.

iStick also lets you use your iPhone as a USB stick. You can copy files directly to your iPhone and then access them elsewhere (through iStick).
