In a research note released by GBH Insights and seen by a leading media reveals that Apple could sell more than 220M iPhones, which are currently being expected in the company’s next financial year, which starts in October.
Analysts believe that “window of opportunity” for upgrades over the next 12 to 18 months could be as high as 350M iPhones.

Citing reasons for this increase in the sales, analysts stated that there are consumers who want to get rid of their iPhone X and iPhone 8/8 Plus. And this has created a massive demand for iPhones to be released this September.
The analysts revealed in the note, “[This year’s iPhones will have] price points and features that catalyze fence sitting iPhone customers onto their next smartphone during the course of FY19.”
GBH reiterated its earlier suggestions that LCD models may not be available in September and may go on sale later this year (after October.)
“We expect three new iPhone releases (5.8 inches to 6.5 inch OLED Plus designs with a lower priced LCD model) staggered over the next 2-4 months.”
About the income from Apple’s services, GBH sounds confident Apple will achieve its goal of $50M from services by 2020. To support this prediction, the research firm says “increased monetization of Apple’s 1.3B active devices is “high octane fuel” for the company’s bottom-line.”
The firm is hopeful about the sales of upcoming iPhones in China as it suggests that 2018 iPhones could be a catalyst for “a renaissance of growth” in China.
Among the mixed responses for its future iPhones, Apple is now listening to some sweet melodies from a leading research firm.
Notably, Apple has always released two iPhones every year except for 2017, in which the company launched its anniversary device (iPhone X) along with two flagship iPhone 8/8 Plus.
This time, Apple is coming up with three devices – iPhone XS, iPhone X Plus, and iPhone (LCD display.)
As the event nears, rumor mills are working overtime to inform (or misinform) Apple users about the devices company is going to launch. However, very few have claims with conviction. You just keep your eyes glued here and get the latest and reliable information.
