Scenario One: Your iPhone Touchscreen is Completely Unresponsive
Solution #1. Reboot your iPhone X, 8/8 Plus
Many a time, a simple restart can do the job for you. But the reason why I have suggested to force restart is that it’s able to flush out bad bits that tend to get stuck at times.
On an iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Then press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
Once your iPhone has restarted, there is a high possibility that the touchscreen will begin to work again. If you find it not being as sensitive as required or it is not functioning consistently, follow the below-mentioned tricks.
Solution #2. Restore Your iPhone As New
Haven’t got the solution as yet? It’s time to take even longer route and restore the device and set it up as new. But before going for the radical step, I would suggest you back up your device using iTunes so that you will remain on the safer side of the stream in case of any mishap.
Note: You can’t restore your device if Find My iPhone is turned on. You can remove your device from Find My iPhone from iCloud.com. Simply head over to icloud.com on your computer → sign in to your account → Find My iPhone icon → All Devices → select your device and then remove it.
Step #1. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
Step #2. Now, select your device from the top left menu.
Step #3. Click on Back Up Now.
And once it’s been successfully backed up. Hit the Restore iPhone button and confirm.
If the problem continues even after you have set up your device as new, try restoring it via recovery mode. Agreed, it’s the painful process. But I’d suggest you not to leave any stone unturned. This tricked has clicked for me a couple of times. I hope it does the job for you as well.
