It’s no secret that Apple products are always the most wanted during holiday season. But, very few had thought that iPhone with more than 2-year-old design would top the 2016 Christmas holiday wish lists; especially when experts had predicted a gloomy road ahead for it.
According to tech analyst Gene Munster, iPhone continues to be the hot favorite among prospective buyers. Based on the survey of 1,000 consumers conducted by his firm’s retail team in the past month revealed that the iPhone 7 is more popular than its predecessor.
iPhone is the Most Popular Gift on 2016 Christmas
“The percentage of people who wanted an iPhone [was 7.2 percent]. That was the No. 1 requested gift. It was [5.2 percent] in 2015,” Munster said, referring to the findings of Piper Jaffray’s fifth annual Holiday Spending Intentions Survey.” CNBC.
While iPhone was on the wish list of 7.7% of people in 2013, 8.6% of people wished to buy it in 2014.
What has made people like iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is the superb performance? The dual-camera of the 5.5-inch model has hogged quite a lot of attention. The ability to capture DSLR-like images with blur effects (use blur effects on iPhone 7 and older iPhones.) has made the phablet a delight for mobile photography.
“The notion that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were only given incremental upgrades from the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus may be warranted, he said. But the reality is consumers want it, he added. They’re still in tight supply. … That is probably the bigger story, which should be good for the March numbers [for Apple].”
Given the quality performance, we have no doubt about the numero-uno position of the latest iPhone. What do you think of it?
