New A10 Fusion

A10 Fusion is the most powerful chip which makes it 40x faster than A9 in the 6S, 2x faster than the A8. 64-bit four-core processor is more efficient. It is 120x faster than the original iPhone.

Improved IP67 water resistance 

Both the iPhone models have got IP67 water resistance. The smartphone is suitable for splashes, showering, short dips in water up to one meter deep.

No headphone jack

Headphone jack is a history now. Apple is set to offer Lightning EarPods and a Lightning to 3.5 mm jack adapter in the box. It allows for an upgraded speaker as well as new sensor for improved Force Touch.

Pressure-sensitive Home button

In order to improve water resistance, the pressure-sensitive Home button has replaced the physical Home button. New haptics to mimic a clicking sensation when the button is pressed has been included.

The Home button has been re-engineered to be force sensitive with a Taptic Engine.

It provides unique taptic feedbacks for actions, messages, notifications, ringtones, and other apps via the Taptic Engine API.

Dual-lens rear camera on the iPhone 7 Plus

iPhone 7 Plus now sports a dual-lens camera. Both the lenses are 12-megapixel. While the one is a wide-angle camera with larger pixel sizes, a 6P lens, and optical image stabilization, the other is a telephoto lens with smaller pixel sizes and a 5P lens.

The new camera system is excellent. Boasting of fabulous optical stabilization, f1.8 aperture lens, new six-element lens, it can immensely enhance mobile photography. The 12mp sensor is 60 percent faster and 30 percent more energy efficient.

It has a new TrueTone flash with four LEDs that has a flicker sensor in order to make photos in artificial lighting look better.

Besides, it has machine learning technology to read the screen and set focus, exposure, and color.

The new ISP is equipped to provide “supercomputer performance.”

“With two cameras and two lenses we can create a zoom feature in the iPhone.”

The dual cameras can create a depth map to find the subjects of a photo and blur the background.

It has a new photo style named “portrait” which lets you create a depth effect.

Depth will come as a free software update, not shipping with the phone.

Now Live Photos can be cropped and filtered, and used in third-party apps in iOS 10.

Front facing camera is of 7MP and flaunts auto image stabilization.

The new iPhones come with stereo speakers. While one is at the top, the other is at the bottom. They will provide twice the volume as the 6S along with increased dynamic range.

FeliCa NFC support

Apple Pay is to support Felica NFC payments in Japan to let use make payment quickly. It will be available from late October.

Better Display

Apple has introduced its own AirPods to spice up music time.

AirPods (cost $159) is expected to ship in late October.

Beats has also come up with a new line of headphones that uses the W1 chip. Beats Solo 3 wireless headphones are great for listening music.

The new iPhones come in three storage capacities like 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. 16GB and 64GB are now a history.

Five color options

There are two new black options like matte and high gloss. The other colors options are Gold, silver, and rose gold.

Preorders of the new iPhone will start from September 9th. The smartphone will start shipping from September 16th.
