Things are just getting hot. We’re expecting the iOS 6.x untethered jailbreak anytime now. While we do hope that the Evasi0n jailbreak gets released soon today, here’s something you should probably check out before you get started with jailbreak.
First off, make sure you’ve got a compatible device. Saying this sounds odd because right now, 22 devices are supported: the highest so far. Anyway, just to be very clear, here are the compatible devices:
- iPhone 5
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 3G
- iPad with Retina Display (4th gen)
- iPad 3
- iPad 2
- iPad Mini
- iPod Touch 4th
- iPod Touch5th gen
Apple TV 1, 2 are supported. ATV3 isn’t).
You can have any iOS starting from 6. These include:
- iOS 6.0
- iOS 6.0.1
- iOS 6.0.2
- iOS 6.1
Okay, now that you’ve got these ready, make sure that you also save your SHSH blob (for all iDevices that you have). We covered on how you can save your SHSH blob using TinyUmbrella just recently so check that out.
For jailbreaking, you’ll also need a USB connector and the PC/Mac/Linux. Remember Absinthe? That’s almost how you’ll be using the Evasi0n jailbreak. It’s expected to be out anytime soon today so make sure you follow us on Facebook/Twitter to get the latest info instantly.
