How to Use Universal Clipboard in macOS Sierra and iOS 10

If you want to use Universal Clipboard on Mac and iPhone, your Mac must be running MacOS Sierra and your iPhone running iOS 10. Here is how to enable it:

macOS Sierra is lashed with quite a lot of interesting features like Markup, Siri, Apple Pay on the Web, PiP and more. There is yet another Continuity feature called Universal Clipboard which has debuted with the arrival of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra.

Universal Clipboard allows you to copy content like text or photos on your iPhone and then paste it on Mac or vice versa. It’s a pretty neat feature which has enhanced the functionality of Continuity on iDevices.

How to Use Universal Clipboard on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Following devices are compatible with Universal Clipboard:

  • iPhone 5 or newer
  • iPad Pro
  • iPad (4th generation)
  • iPad Air or newer

How to Copy Paste Using Universal Clipboard Between Mac and iPhone & iPad

Note: Universal Clipboard allows you to copy and paste only text, photos, and video.

Step #1. First off, you need to sign in to iCloud using your Apple ID on your iDevices.

Step #2. Make sure to turn on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth on your devices. Keep them close to each other.

Step #3. Next up, you have to copy a photo or text on one of your iDevices.
