Apple's Music Memos app is intended for composers who would like to record their new ideas while they are on the go. The app has nifty features to suit casual as well as professional music artists. When Apple designs any app, there's no looking back. The same is the case with Music Memos app.
Out of the many features, tuning your instrument using the app is just marvelous. The app lets you tune your guitar, drums, or any other music instrument using a built-in tuner. But please note that the app does not provide any notes to tune your instruments. You should know the notes of each string of your instruments to tune it to perfection.
Assuming that you have proper information on the notes, we can move ahead to the tuning part. You'll just need to make a few taps to open the tuner in Music Memos. Let's check out how to do it on your iPhone.
How to Use the Tuner Feature of Music Memos App on iPhone
Step #1. Launch Music Memos from your iPhone Home Screen.
Step #2. Once you are in the app, tap on the “Pin” like icon located at the top-right corner of the screen.
Step #3. Now play the string on your guitar or any other instrument. You'll be able to see whether the tune is sharp or flat on your iPhone screen. A too sharp note will make the red bar move towards the right while too flat note will make the red bar move towards left.
Step #4. Based on the movement of the bar, you can adjust the note on your instrument. When the bar rested peacefully at center and turned to blue, then you have tuned it correctly.
