Public transit is the best way for any outsider to cruise the city he is travelling in. If you like to ditch the taxi or your own car and love to explore the locale by public transit, iOS 9 brings an excellent feature, transit directions for globe-trotters.
Before moving ahead, please note that transit directions feature is available for following cities only; Baltimore, Berlin, Chicago, London, Mexico City, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Toronto, Washington, D.C and 300 cities in China.
With this feature you can be your own guide in a place you never visited in your life. If you do not belong to any of the above cities, your iPhone will display a message: Transit information for “City” is not available. In this case, you can choose third-party transit apps to check public transit.
Now, let’s see how Transit Directions work in Maps in iOS 9.
