You can now easily use Home and even manage the HomeKit accessories right from the Control Center in iOS 10 on your iPhone or iPad.

iOS 10 has got an ultra-elegant Control Center. 3D Touch has immensely enhanced the functionality of CC. Whether it’s setting an alarm or accessing Camera shortcuts using 3D Touch, CC had never been so user-friendly.

iOS 10 has a new app called “Home” to let you manage HomeKit accessories with ease. Better still, you can now manage your HomeKit-enabled devices right from the Control Center of your iPhone. Here is how it works!

How to Turn On/Off Homekit Accessories in Control Center

Control Center in iOS 10 allows you to enable or disable HomeKit accessories with just a tap.

Step #1. Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen to bring up Control Center.

Step #2. Next, you need to touch and hold your finger down on the Control Center panel.

Step #3. Now, you have to swipe from right to left to go from Control to Now Playing.

(Swipe from right to left again to access the Home panel if you are yet to access it.)

Step #4. Finally, you will have to tap on the accessory to turn it on or off.

How to Change Options for Home Accessories in Control Center

If you have 6s or later, you can access more functions for Home accessories using 3D Touch.

Step #1. Swipe from the bottom of the screen to bring up the Control Center.

Step #2. Next, you have to touch and hold your finger down on the Control Center panel.

Step #3. Now, swipe from right to left to go from Control to Now Playing. (Swipe from right to left again to access the Home panel, if you are yet to access it.

Step #4. Up next, you will have to press firmly using 3D Touch on the accessory to pop up additional options.

How to Re-Order You Favorite Accessories in Control Center on iPhone/iPad

You can arrange the order of accessories if you are not satisfied with the way they appear in the Home panel of Control Center.

Step #1. Launch the Home app on your iPhone.

Step #2. Next, you will have to tap on Edit at the top right.

Step #3. Up next, just drag your accessories into your desired order.

Step #4. Tap on Done at the top right corner to confirm.
