Literally, Instagram is hell-bent on aping the top features of Snapchat, having already snapped Stories, Disappearing photos and some other neat features. Now, the Facebook-owned company has captured yet another feature—Geostickers– thoroughly inspired by Snapchat’s Geofilters which is also location based. As for functionality, using Geostickers in Instagram stories on iPhone is pretty simple and works very much like that of Snapchat’s.
Currently, Geostickers is available only in New York and Jakarta. It will be available in other cities and countries around the world later. Let’s get to know more about how it works.
How to use Geostickers in Instagram Stories on iPhone
Step #1. Launch Instagram on your iOS device and access camera as usual. (Either swipe right from left or tap on the camera icon at the top left corner of the screen.)
Step #2. Next, you need to snap a nice photo or a dazzling video.
Step #3. Now, tap on the sticker icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
It doesn’t matter in which city you are living; you will now see the custom stickers for that city.
When you visit some landmarks or selected neighborhoods, some other stickers will show up. Each and every sticker will be designed to make a good match with the vibe of that particular location.
Step #4. You have complete freedom to add as many stickers as you wish. Make the most of the creative tools to adjust the size of the stickers and their placement.
Step #5. Once you are done, add it to your story by tapping on the Your Story button at the bottom.
In case you wish to delete any sticker, just tap and hold the sticker and drag it to Recycle bin icon.
