Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iPhone → Tap on General.

AssistiveTouch is very easy-to-use. To get started with AssistiveTouch, simply tap on its shortcut on any screen on your iPhone.

Control Center: It allows you to bring up Control Center with ease.

Siri: It enables you to activate Siri.

Custom: It helps you perform and add custom gestures.

Notification Center: It helps you access Notification Center instantly.

Device: It enables you to carry out a number of functions like rotating the screen, changing the volume, locking the screen and more.

Home: It takes you to Home screen of your iOS device.

How to Add Custom Gestures to AssistiveTouch

By adding custom gestures, you can make AssistiveTouch more user-friendly.

Step #1. Open Settings app → Tap GeneralAccessibility.

Step #2. Tap on AssistiveTouch.

Step #3. Tap on Create New Gesture.

Step #4. Up next, simply tap or swipe to create a new gesture.

Step #5. If you are satisfied with the gesture, tap on Stop from the bottom right corner.

Step #6. Tap on Play to preview the gesture, Record to re-record it, or Save from the top right corner to save it.

Step #7. A popup will appear on the screen. You need to type in your gesture name and then tap on Save.

How to Customize The Top Level Menu for AssistiveTouch in iOS 10

You have the option to customize the top level menu for AssistiveTouch. At most, you can keep eight icons in the menu.

Step #1. Open Settings app → Tap GeneralAccessibility.

Step #2. Tap on AssistiveTouch.

Step #3. Tap on Customize Top Level Menu.

Step #4. Next, tap on one of the icons to change. For example, if you want to add Volume Up button in place of Volume Down, you can do it.

Step #5. Now, you have to select a function or action as per your convenience → Tap on Done at the upper right corner.

Step #6. Tap on the plus or minus buttons at the bottom right to either add or subtract buttons.

Note: If you have iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, you can also use 3D Touch Action. As for instance, you can 3D Touch on the AssistiveTouch icon in order to carry out another action.

If change your mind later and don’t like to use the customized top level menu, you can easily reset it.
