After much of a wait, iOS 7.1.x (both iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1) can be jailbroken untethered using a new jailbreak tool called Pangu. It has come from nowhere, taking almost the whole JB community by surprise. Pangu jailbreak comes from a Chinese developer: that much is clear.
In the hours after its launch, some things are clear: it’s safe and it works good. For those of you on iOS 7.1 or iOS 7.1.1, debating about the security and the validity of the jailbreak tool, here’s some reassurance: you can certainly use Pangu to jailbreak your iPhone/iPad.

How to Untethered Jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 Using Pangu:
Step 2: Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
Step 3: Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer.
Step 4: Open iTunes and backup your device. [This step is extremely important so make sure you do backup your iPhone/iPad]
Step 5: Run Pangu
Step 6: If you happen to see weird characters (and a lot of ???), it just means there’s no Chinese character support in your system. Don’t worry. That doesn’t matter much. You can, alternatively, download the English-version.
Step 7: There’s that round, black-colored checkbox: disable that. (Untick)
Step 8: Now, on your iPhone, open Settings → General → Date & Time → disable Set Automatically and set the date to June 2, 2014.
Step 9: Also, disable Auto-lock and Passcode.
Step 10: Start the jailbreak process by clicking on the Start button in Pangu. It will take sometime before the process is complete.
Step 11: You will now see a Pangu icon on the Home screen. Tap it. The jailbreak will continue further. After about 10-15 minutes, your iPhone/iPad should be jailbroken.
Step 12: You can change the date (enable Set Automatically) now.
