How to Enable Netflix Smart Downloads on iPhone and iPad

Step #1. Launch Netflix app on your iOS device and hit Downloads icon at the bottom.

Step #2. Now, hit Smart Downloads at the top and then turn on the switch.

Alternately, you can tap on the More icon at the bottom → scroll down and select App Settings → Under Downloads section, turn on the switch for Smart Downloads.

That’s all there is to it! From now onwards, the media-streaming app will smartly delete the shows you have watched. And it will automatically make yet-to-be-watched episodes available for offline viewing.

Later, if you decide to have manual control over what to delete and whether or not download a specific episode, you can easily disable Smart Downloads by following the explained steps above.
