To let iPhone users make the most of the Live Photos, Google has launched an exciting app called “Motion Stills” primed to turn your Live Photos into awesome GIFs or movies.
With the use of Google's stabilization technology and cinematic backgrounds, the app turns Live Photos into motion stills. In other words, it works as a smart cameraman for your cool pictures. Here is how you can get started and use it like a pro!
How to Turn Live Photos into GIFs on your iPhone or iPad
Step #1. First off, you need to download Motion Stills on your iOS device. It's available for free from App Store.
Step #2. Make sure you have Live Photos in the Camera Roll on your device. (If you don't have, you need to launch Camera app on your iPhone 6s/6s Plus. Tap on the Live Photo button from the top center, then tap on the shutter button to take the photo.)
Step #3. Next up, you have to launch Motion Stills.
Step #4. Allow the app to access the Camera Roll and Microphone on your iOS device.
Step #5. You will see all your Live Photos. Browse through your photo stream, flip them one by one, watch them auto play.
Simply tap on any photo which you want to send as GIF.
Step #6. Tap on the arrow icon below the pic.
Step #7. You will get two options-Send GIF and Share Clip. Tap on the icon next to Send GIF and then share it as usual.
How to Turn Live Photos into Movies on your iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Launch Motion Stills on your iOS device.
Step #2. Next up, you need to select the photos with which you want to make the movie. Simply swipe left to right on the photo which you wish to add in the movie.
Step #3. Once you have selected the photos, just tap on the green video play icon to watch the movie you have just created.
Step #4. Tap on the arrow icon to upload the movie to YouTube or share it with your friends.
