You can stream content from your iPhone or iPad to the compatible TV. And for this, you don't need to connect any cable; everything happens with a swipe and touch.

How to AirPlay from your iPhone or iPad to Apple TV

Step #1. On the Home screen of your iOS device, swipe up from the bottom.

This will bring Control Centre up.

Step #2. Tap on AirPlay; the icon is seen next to AirDrop icon.

A new screen will open, where you can see Apple TV source.

Step #3. Tap on Apple TV.

With the above three steps, you will be able to stream video from your iPhone or iPad to Apple TV via AirPlay.

If you wish to turn off AirPlay, tap on iPhone or iPad from the source list.

Please note that before you stream video, you need to run both iOS device and Apple TV on the same Wi-Fi network.
