How to Stream Live Video in Instagram on iPhone and iPad

Just like Facebook and Twitter, Instagram also allows you to stream “Live Video” on your iPhone and iPad. Once you have live-streamed the video, it will be automatically disappeared.

Instagram lets you stream live video for up to an hour. It’s a superb way to interact with your followers and friends. When you go live, your followers are instantly notified. You can check out the real-time viewers and even see their comments. Ready to go live? Let’s go!

How to Stream Live Video in Instagram on iPhone and iPad

Note: Live Video feature is currently available only in the USA. It’s expected to be rolled out in other countries in the next few days.

Step #1. Launch Instagram on your iOS device.

Step #2. Now, tap on the camera button on the top left of the screen or just swipe right from anywhere on Feed page.

Step #3. Now, tap Live at the bottom of the screen.

Step #4. Tap on Start Live Video.

Once you go live, your followers will be notified.

You can check out the number of viewers at the top right of the screen.

Step #5. The comments will appear at the bottom.

Tap on Comment button to add a comment. You can tap and hold a comment to pin it to the top to let viewers see it easily.

If you want to turn comments off, tap on the three dots then choose Turn Off Commenting.

One thing you need to know that if you have turned on keyword filters to hide inappropriate comments, they will apply to comments on your live video as well.

Step #6. Once you are done, you need to tap on End at the top right and confirm it.

That’s it!The video will no longer be visible once you finish the streaming.
