How to Stop People from Adding You to WhatsApp Groups

Keep those unwanted groups at bay! Finally, the messaging app lets you prevent anyone from adding you to their WhatsApp groups without your permission. Check out how this privacy feature works on iPhone and Android device.

“WhatsApp Group” is a great way to stay connected with all of your friends. While I’ve always appreciated this unified communication experience (kind of), I’ve never liked people to include me to their groups without my approval.

That’s the reason why I had wanted for a privacy feature that could allow me to have complete control over whether to join a conversation or not. As it turns out, the messaging app has finally roll offered a way to stop people from adding someone to any random WhatsApp groups both on iOS and Android. Better late than never, let’s find out how this new add-on works!

If you want to be in complete control, go with the Nobody option. Once selected, anyone who wants you to join their group will have to send you a private invite via an individual chat.

And you need to accept the invite within three days else it will automatically expire. And that’s all about it, my friends!

Well-Timed Privacy Feature

I find this privacy feature enormously user-friendly. It ensures you have the desired control and that makes real sense. Let me know what you think of it down below in the comments.
