How to Sort Notes By Title or Date on iPhone and iPad
No longer want iOS to categorize your notes by date edited? Fine. You have the option to sort your Apple notes by title or date create on your iPhone or iPad in iOS 11 or later. Head over to this quick guide to discover how it works;
By default iOS automatically sorts your notes by the date edited. Hence, you can instantly take a glance at all those notes you had recently edited. But what if you wish to sort your Apple notes by title or date created on your iPhone or iPad?
It turns out; iOS allows you to categorize your notes in multiple ways. Let me show you how it’s done the quick way!
How to Sort Notes on iPhone and iPad By Title or Date
Step #1. Launch Settings on your iOS device.
Step #2. Now, scroll down and tap on Notes.
Step #3. Next, tap on “Sort Notes By” under Viewing section.
Step #4. Next up, you have three options:
- Date Edited
- Date Created
- Title
You can choose any of the three options depending on your need. In this test, I’m going to choose Date Created. Now, when you open your Notes app, all of your notes will be sorted by the date when you created them.
