Before Family Sharing facility, families had to do with one Apple ID for all content purchase; with Family Sharing plan, six members of a family can listen to music concurrently.

Before you sign up for an Apple Music family plan, ensure that any of your family member has not signed up for a free trial of Apple Music. You need to wait until your family member’s free trial is terminated after three months.

Step #1. First off, you need to set up a Family Sharing account from iCloud.

Step #2. Then, invite members of family (or any other people) with whom you can share your Apple Music subscription.

Step #3. Now sign up for Apple Music with your Family Sharing account details.

If you have opted for Individual plan, you can switch to Family.

Step #8. Use family member’s Apple ID to sign in (Never go for free trial on your family member’s iPhone/iPad).

Step #9. A message will appear: “Your family has joined Apple Music” (This message will be accompanied by an option to enable “iCloud Music Library”).
