How to Sign Documents Digitally in Mac OS X with Preview App Using Trackpad

Signing your signature digitally had never been so easy before. Though you could do the same in the previous versions of OS X, it involved quite a lot of cumbersome process. Such as signing your signature on a piece of paper, scanning it with the help of camera and so on. Lengthy, isn’t it?

It is the time of digitization as almost everything has been turned into digital form for more convenience. How To Sign Your Signature Digitally In Mac’s Preview App Using Trackpad On OS X Yosemite

Step #1. Launch Preview app on your Mac running OS X Yosemite.

Step #2. Open any document in which you want to sign.

Step #3. Click on briefcase icon from top right corner of document toolbar.

Step #4. Preview Toolbar will open, click on the signature icon, and then click on Create Signature.

Step #5. Click on Trackpad and then click on “Click here to begin” to start drawing signature.

Step #6. Press Esc key when you are done with drawing signature and then at last click Done button.

Step #7. Click again on Signature icon from Preview Toolbar. Click on signature you just created to place on a document. Then you can drag signature to place it anywhere you need on document.

That’s all! The digital signature has been saved in the Preview app. You can use it as per your need. Indeed, it is quite quick to sign with the help of Trackpad. You can do it on any Trackpad. Such as Magic Trackpad, Macbook Pro or the one that is built into a Macbook Air.

Preview app allows you to view and edit any PDFs as well image files such as JPEG, TIFF and PNG. It is a pretty handy app on your Mac boasting of quality features.
