Once you have enabled the two-factor authentication in the popular social networking app, you need to enter a security code sent to your associated phone number when logging into your account. How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication in Instagram on iPhone
Step #1. Make sure to update Instagram to the latest version. Then, launch it on your iOS device.
Step #2. Now, tap on the profile button at the bottom right corner of the screen → Next, you need to tap on the setting button located at the top right-hand corner.
Step #3. Next up, tap on Two-Factor Authentication which is under Account section.
Step #4. Now, turn on the switch next to Require security code → Tap on Add Number in the pop-up.
Step #5. Enter your mobile number and Tap on Next.
Step #6. Enter the confirmation code sent to your phone number associated with the Instagram account. Then, tap on Done at the top right corner.
Step #7. Next, you would be asked to take a screenshot of your backup code which would use if you can't receive a security code by text → Tap on OK in the popup to let the app take a screenshot and save it to your Camera Roll.
- You have the option to get new codes if you no longer want to use the available ones for any reason. To do so, just tap on Get New Codes.
- You can also copy codes to the clipboard if you want to send them to your friend. To do so, tap on Copy Codes.
- There is also an option to capture the screenshot of the codes easily. To do so, tap on Take Screenshot.
How to Disable Two-Factor Authentication in Instagram on iPhone
Step #1. Open Instagram → profile button at the bottom right corner → setting button at the top right corner.
Step #2. Tap on Two-Factor Authentication.
Step #3. Now, turn off the switch next to Require Security Code → Tap on Turn Off in the popup to confirm.
