You might have observed your friends on Facebook changing their profile picture with current events. Just for an instance, a lot of people over the world had changed their profile picture on Facebook in support of Paris during terrorist attack. These events are temporary, and most of them forget to change back their profile picture.
In such a case, Facebook has introduced temporary profile picture feature for the Facebook app for iPhone and iPad. Don’t worry if you aren’t aware of the process; that’s what this post is all about. Just read till the end of this post and you’ll know how this thing works.
How to Set Temporary Facebook Profile Picture from iPhone
Step #1. Launch the Facebook app and then tap on “More“, located at the bottom-right corner → On the next screen, tap on your Profile name. It should be the very first on the list.
Step #2. You’ll now see your Profile as well as the cover photo. Tap on your Profile picture to and then tap on “Upload Profile Picture“.
Step #3. Now select any image from your Camera Roll, that you wish to set as temporary profile picture.
Step #4. After you select an image, you’ll notice a text saying “Make Temporary“; tap on it.
Step #5. You’ll now see different time duration in a popup ranging from 1 hour to 1 week.
Alternatively, you can also enter the custom period by tapping on custom (second last option in the popup menu). Tap on any one that suits your requirement.
Step #6. After you are done with selecting time duration, just tap on “Use” located at the top-right corner.
That’s it; you profile picture has been set temporary on Facebook. It will automatically be changed to previous picture, once the duration is finished.
