I use my Apple Watch to stay fit and keep a tab on my workout with ease. To ensure I’m able to easily find out which part of the exercise has got the best out of my body or burnt more calories, I make sure to segment workout mid-session on the Watch. It’s a very convenient way to find the most effective exercises.
For instance, if you are going for a long outdoor run, you can mark each of the lap or distance. If you are doing a 20-minute indoor cycling, you can split the session into two segments. You can divide any of your workout sessions except swimming. As the screen locks during swimming workouts, you can’t mark segments.
How to Mark Segments in Workouts on Your Apple Watch
Step #1. First off, you need to launch Workout app on your Apple Watch.
Step #2. Now, choose the workout you want to do. Then, go ahead and give your 100%.
Step #3. Next when you want to change the gear or ramp up the intensity or just wish to divide this part of your workout as a separate segment, simply double tap anywhere on the screen.
Then, just wait for the segment summary to show up the screen.
Now, this part of your workout will be confirmed as the Segment 1.
Your workout will continue to be recorded. If you want to divide other part of your exercise session, just double tap on the screen again.
One thing worth mentioning here is that you can split your workout in end number of segments.
