Among several highly functional features is there a slightly hidden option to search within notes in iOS 11 Notes app on iPhone. It’s very useful in letting you instantly find out a particular word in a document. So, the next time you want to locate a comment or name in notes, you may not have to go through the entire checklist to pinpoint it!
While writing an article or doing a project, at times I have to search a specific word to ensure a specific thing has been mentioned. “Command/Ctrl+F” shortcut on the computer also becomes very handy for me especially when I’m reading a fairly long article and wish to quickly find out some of the most important parts. I’m very glad that Apple has brought this feature in Notes app for iOS 11 as well to make it a lot easier to find certain things instantly.
How to Search Within Notes on iOS 11 Notes App on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Launch Notes app on your iOS device.
Step #2. Next, you need to either create a new note or launch the already existing one. In this test, I’m going to open the existing note.
Step #3. Next up, tap on the share button.
Step #4. Now, you have to tap on “Find in Note” in the activity sheet. (if the button is not visible on your iPhone, swipe left from right to reveal it.)
Step #5. Enter the word in the search field. The searched word will be automatically underlined in yellow; making it easier for you to find it.
Step #5. In the end, tap on Done to finish the search.
Bolster Note-Taking Experience!
The stock Notes app has got a much-needed boost in the latest iOS ecosystem. Finally, it looks poised to take the crown away from the top third-party note-taking apps like Evernote and OneNote. What do you think of it? Share your valuable feedback in the comments below.
