iTunes is your single platform from where you purchase music/videos, movies and other content. It is also your backup partner for apps, contacts, messages and more.

If you lose or forgot the password of Apple ID, you will face tough time getting access to your iCloud, iTunes and App Store. You should better take some action to reset your password.

How to Reset Your Apple ID Password

You can either try to log in your iTunes or copy-paste the link.

If you are using iTunes, try to log in with your Apple ID and incorrect password. After a couple of seconds, you will see a pop-up with bold red fonts: Your Apple ID or password was entered incorrectly.

This dialog box will have a link on a keyword: Forgot? If you click on that keyword, you will be landed on this page. Enter your Apple ID and click on Continue. This will further take you to another screen of Reset Password. You will be asked: Select how you want to reset your password.

You can either choose “Get an email” or “Answer security questions”.

It is better to enter your email id as you may have forgotten answer to security questions. Click on Continue and you will receive an email with password reset link. Open that link from your email and you can reset your Apple ID password easily. While resetting password, please ensure that you keep one character in capital; this will strengthen your password.

If you have pasted the link in the browser, you need to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step #1. Once you are on the link, click on “Forgot Apple ID or password”.

Step #2. Enter the email address you are using as Apple ID → Click on Continue.

You will be landed on Reset Password screen, where you will be asked: Select how you want to reset your password.

Step #3. Select the first option of “Get an email” → Click on Continue.
