Apple TV+ has finally launched. If you have purchased a new Apple device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac) capable of running the latest software (iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and macOS), after 10th September 2019, then you are automatically eligible to get Apple TV Plus free for one year.
It has debuted with shows like The Morning Show, See, For All Mankind, Dickinson, The Elephant Queen, Helpsters, Ghostwriter, to name a few. Apple has also said that it will be adding new original content every month.
This new streaming service is ad-free and supports 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos. It also supports Family Sharing and offline downloading.
Here is how you can get Apple TV Plus free for a year on your 2019 iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or Mac.
How to Get Apple TV Plus Free for a Year
Step #1. Turn on your new iPhone (or your new Apple device) and set it up. Sign in with your Apple ID.
If you see any pending software update, tap on the update.
Step #2. Open the Apple TV app.
Step #3. You will see the offer presented immediately to you as soon as you launch the TV app.
If not, scroll down or go to Apple TV+ channel page by clicking this link.
Step #4. Tap on Enjoy 1 Year Free message.
To get this free offer, on your eligible iPhone or other Apple device that you are already using, just sign out of your Apple ID by tapping on your Profile picture (next to Watch Now inside Apple TV app) and then tap on Sign Out. After this, sign in to the Apple TV app, and you will see the Enjoy 1 Year Free message.
So, this is how you can enjoy one full year of Apple TV+ for free on your new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, and Mac. After the free period of one year ends, the monthly subscription is just $4.99.
You have three months after first setting up your new device to take advantage of your free year of Apple TV Plus. For devices purchased between September 10 and November 1, your three months starts on November 1.
Also, if you cancel during your free year, you and your family members will immediately lose access to Apple TV+ and the remainder of your 1-year free trial. This trial can’t be reactivated again.
Even if you are not eligible for the one-year trial, you still get a seven-day free trial of Apple TV+.
Apple TV Plus is available on all Apple devices. It is even available on popular smart TVs (like from Samsung), AirPlay-enabled TVs (like from LG and Vizio), streaming platforms (like Roku and Amazon Fire Stick) and even on the web at tv.apple.com using Safari, Firefox or Chrome web browsers. With Apple Music being available on Android, very soon we might get Apple TV+ for Android phones too. Stay with us for this.
