How to Identify and Remove Outdated Apple Watch Apps

In April 2018, Apple made its intentions clear to stop accepting apps developed with watchOS 3 SDK. The worth of this exercise is that you can free up storage by identifying and removing the obsolete apps from your Apple Watch.

Note that if your Apple Watch apps are developed using watchOS 4+ SDK, you can use them on your smartwatch running watchOS 5 and later.

Now let’s delete those outdated apps from the Apple Watch.

Step #1. First off, launch the Watch app on your iPhone you have paired with the watch.

Step #2. Next, tap on My Watch tab from the bottom menu.

Step #3. Now you need to scroll down to the bottom, where you can see a list of available apps on your Apple Watch.

Step #4. In case, your watch has some apps, which are older or outdated, they will be listed in ‘Unavailable Apps’ tab; you need to tap on it.
