How to Find Misplaced iPhone Using Apple Watch

Apple Watch is unique in more ways than one. It has quite a few interesting tricks that can win you over. Hidden underneath glances is a charming trick which not many Apple Watch users would have discovered as yet.

More often than not I misplace my iPhone somewhere or the other and have to spend plenty of time trying to find it. Though Find My iPhone feature does help me in tracing my iPhone, it requires some roundabout process. And if Find My iPhone is disabled on my iPhone, it becomes really difficult to search my device.

If you are also a bit forgetful just like me and often misplace your iPhone, there is something to cheer about. Apple Watch is equipped to trace your iPhone instantly. However, the Watch has a limitation as it uses Wi-Fi or about 300-foot Bluetooth connection in order to find your lost or stolen iPhone.

This trick may not be as effective as Find My iPhone feature due only to its limitation, but it is exactly what you’d want to locate your iPhone quickly. Here is how it works!

How to Ping your iPhone from Apple Watch

Step #1. Tap the Digital Crown to go to watch face (in case, you are not already there.)

Step #2. Swipe up on the watch face to bring up Glances.

That’s it! You will hear a loud sound of your phone. In case, you have not been able to trace your device with just a tap, you can tap a few times until you are able to find your device. The best part of this smart little trick is that it works perfectly even if your iPhone is on silent mode.
