Downloading videos from Twitter on the computer is a breeze as it doesn’t require too many steps to be taken. Unfortunately, it’s not the same case on an iOS device as the process is a bit lengthy (At least for now). Anyway, you want to know how to save those coolest videos from the news app on your device, right? Let’s dive across!
How to Download Twitter Video on iPhone, Mac, and Windows PC
How to Save Video from Twitter to iPhone Camera Roll
There are a couple of apps like the popular file manager “Documents” and “MyMedia” that can let you download and save your favorite Twitter videos to iPhone or iPad Camera roll. Both work similarly to getting the job done. Besides, the process is quite identical. However, I have preferred MyMedia as it makes the task a bit plain sailing.
Step #1. First off, download MyMedia – File Manager on your iOS device. The app is available for free and requires iOS 9 or later.
Step #2. Now, open Twitter on the device and then head over to the tweet in which video is embedded.
Step #3. Next, tap on the Share button and select Share Tweet via.
Note: In some cases, you can just tap on the tiny downward arrow at the top right corner a tweet and select Share Tweet via.
Step #4. Next up, the iOS share sheet will open. You need to select Copy Link to Tweet.
Step #5. Up next, launch MyMedia app on your device. Ensure that Browser tab is selected.
Now, head over to twittervideodownloader.com using the MyMedia app’s built-in web browser and then paste (Note: Just touch and hold the text field and then, select Paste.) the link you have just copied and hit the Download button.
Step #6. You have the option to select three file sizes.
I would recommend you to go with the smaller one if you wish to manage storage efficiently. And if you have tons of storage on your device, go with the larger one. The choice is yours.
Tap on Download Video and then select Download the File to confirm.
Then, you have to enter a name of the video and hit the Save button in the popup. Now, the video will download within the app.
Step #7. Next up, tap on Back at the top right corner. Then, select Media tab from the bottom.
You should see your downloaded file. Simply tap and hold it → a menu will show up from the bottom, select Save to Camera Roll.
That’s pretty much it! You have successfully saved the Twitter video to your iPhone Camera Roll.
