Update: If you had installed watchOS 5 Beta 1 on your Apple Watch, updating it is dead simple. Open Watch app on your paired iPhone → General → Software Update and then install the latest beta. But if you are going to install the dev beta first time, follow the steps mentioned below.

How to Download and Install watchOS 5 Beta on Apple Watch

Since watchOS is still in beta, you should be ready to face miscellaneous issues like freezing, crashing and even battery drain. If you don’t mind facing some hiccups, you will enjoy having a look at the latest features!

  • Ensure that your Apple Watch has at least a 50 percent charge.
  • Be sure your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.

Download the Configuration Profile

Step #1. Open any web browser on your iPhone and head over to Apple Developer download page.

Step #2. Now, sign in using your Apple ID and password. On the next screen, tap on the Download the Configuration Profile.

Step #3. Once you have successfully downloaded the beta profile, launch it and then select Apple Watch as the installation location. You would be asked to reboot the device, do it.
