How to Disable Press and Hold to Speak to Siri on iPhone/iPad

Whenever I have to use Siri, I activate it using my voice. I find it better than pressing and holding the Home button to trigger the personal assistant. At times, I accidentally activate Siri while using the iPhone. Does it happen with you as well?

You can disable the option to press the Home button to activate Siri. Moreover, you can choose to activate “Voice Control” and not Siri by pressing and holding the Home button. Here is how you can get it done.

Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iOS device → Now, tap on Accessibility.

Step #3. You should see a new section named “PRESS AND HOLD TO SPEAK.” Select Off.

How to Activate “Voice Control” Using Home Button on iPhone and iPad

There is no denying that Siri is far more versatile and useful than the old “Voice Control.” But, if you want to use it instead of the personal assistant, you can activate it using the Home button.

Step #1. Open Settings app → Accessibility.

Step #3. Under “PRESS AND HOLD TO SPEAK,” you have to select Voice Control.
