HomePod comes with a nice feature called “Personal requests.” You can use them to quickly add your reminders, check your messages and even access your notes. The only condition is that your iOS device has to be on the local network. While this feature works perfectly, there is a big downside as anyone can use it. So, if you are concerned about your security, disable personal requests on the HomePod.

You get the option to enable or disable personal requests while setting up HomePod. And just in case you couldn’t do so during the setup, you can always turn them off from the Home app on your iOS device.

Have your say:

I wish Siri is able to recognize multiple voices sooner than later. Unlike Alexa and Google Assistant, Apple’s personal assistant appears to be less efficient on the smart speaker due to several limitations. The only thing makes the speaker stand out from the rest is the incredible sound quality.
