Very first time Apple has introduced landscape mode for SpringBoard in iPhone 6 Plus. It makes convenient for you to use your jumbo iPhone 6 Plus in landscape mode.
Though, the addition is made to make your experience better, quite of few people feel annoying to use their iPhone 6 Plus in Landscape. So if you are one of those, who want to disable springboard rotation in iPhone 6 plus, here we go:
There are two ways to Turn off Landscape mode on your iPhone 6 Plus.
#1. From Control Center
#2. Through Cydia Tweak (Of course, Jailbreak Required)
Let’s have a look at both the methods.
How to Disable SpringBoard Rotation on the iPhone 6 Plus from Control Center
Step #1: Go to Control Center by Swiping up from the bottom.
Step #2: Tap On Lock with Circle Icon at Top Right of the Control Center.
And you’re done.
Note: This will disable landscape mode for all the apps. If you just want to lock portrait mode for SpringBoard only, Notate Cydia tweak is a better solution.
Through Cydia Tweak
Alternatively, you can disable Springboard rotation by installing latest Cydia Tweak called Notate on your jailbroken iPhone 6 Plus. It’s a trivial and pretty simple Cydia tweak that requires no configuration or any other kind of setting. You just need to install it and it will disable landscape mode on your iPhone 6 plus.
Things to keep in mind while you are using Notate Cydia tweak:
#1. This will disregard your rotation setting from Control center.
#2. You will not be able to use home screen rotation until you remove this tweak.
#3. You can still use supported apps in landscape mode.
Notate Cydia Tweak is available in BigBoss repo for free.
