How to Delete iCloud Account in iOS 9 on iPhone or iPad

We have already given a guide for deleting iCloud account from iPhone/iPad in iOS 8. Here is the guide for iOS 9 users that has a nominal variation in the process.

If you have made a new Apple ID or you just want to delete your iCloud account from your iPhone or iPad, then the process has slightly changed in iOS 9. Earlier we had given the guide for deleting iCloud account from iOS 8.

There isn’t much of a change in the process but just to make it easy for users we have given a separate guide for iOS 9 users. Take a look at the tutorial given below.

How to Delete iCloud Account From iPhone Or iPad Running iOS 9

Step #1. Open Settings on iPhone → Now tap on iCloud.

Step #2. Scroll till end of the menu and tap “Sign Out“.

Step #3. After you tap the option you will get a pop-up with a warning message. Simply tap on “Sign Out” again.

Step #4. Again you will get a pop-up with a confirmation message. Tap on “Delete from My iPhone“.

Delete iCloud Account from iPhone in iOS 9

Step #6. This is little frustrating but you will be presented with one more pop-up. This message will be asking whether you want to keep iCloud synced data on your iPhone or iPad. You have two options: “Keep on My iPhone” or “Delete from My iPhone“. Tap any of the options as per your need.

Step #7. Enter Password of your Apple ID to continue with the process.

If you have selected “Delete from My iPhone” option from Step 6 then the data you synced from iCloud will be deleted from your iPhone or iPad. The same data will still be there on your iCloud drive that you can easily recover again after adding the iCloud account.
