How to change Siri’s voice and language on iPhone and iPad

Siri got tremendous updates ever since it was first launched as an integrated feature of the Apple iPhone 4S. From only being able to choose from two main voice options, male or female, Apple has made it possible for people of different cultures and languages to personalize Siri’s voice and language to their preference.

How to change Siri voice on iPhone or iPad

  1. Launch Settings and tap Siri and Search.
  2. Tap Siri Voice.
    You will see two sections: VARIETY and VOICE.
  3. Tap your choice of accent (variety) and voice (male and female tone variations).

Please note that you must be connected to Wi-Fi to download a new Siri accent. After the full-quality Siri voice has been downloaded, it will automatically come into effect.

How to change Siri language on iPhone or iPad

You can also change the language of Siri to your own native/custom language. Just follow these procedures:

  1. Launch Settings and hit Siri and Search.
  2. Tap Language.
  3. Select the desired language → tap Change Language.

Note: Changing the language of Siri will turn off “Hey Siri.” Hence, you will have to set up “Hey Siri” again on your iDevice.
