The Photos app on Mac lets you to create a new library in order to help you manage your photos comfortably. There are some particular photos which you can keep separately to access them instantly. Many a time selecting a specific photo from album becomes a bit tedious task. That’s why, it’s better to have a separate library of photos. Step #1. Close the Photos app, if it‘s opened.

Step #2. Hold the Option () key and click on the Photos app in the dock.

Step #4. Now, you will need to give a name to your new photo library in the Save As field. If you want to change the location of this library, you can do so easily by adjusting the Where field.

Step #5. After giving your photo library a name and placing it at your desired location, click onOK.

  • Click on Choose Library, after you have selected a listed library.

If your library isn’t listed, you can click on Other Library in order to find the library which is located somewhere else.

That’s done! It would be a lot better if more than one photo libraries were opened at a time as it could have allowed you to switch between them more conveniently.
