One of the coolest ways, I make my iPhone Home screen look eye-catching is by setting up a fascinating wallpaper. I really hate it when I find apps not allowing the wallpaper to show its charm. While looking for a hack to overcome this hurdle, I stumbled upon a site called “iempty tooliphone” that allows creating blank icons on iPhone and iPad.
So, how does this tool work? Well, it adds empty spaces to your iOS device Home screen by adding transparent Safari bookmarks. Hence, you are able to put your app icons where you want while leaving blank spaces between them so that your wallpaper is able to weave magic without any interference!
How to Create Empty Icon On Your iPhone or iPad
Step #1. First off, touch and hold an app icon the Home screen to trigger wiggle mode.
When the apps start wiggling, you need to swipe left to reach far right on Home screen page to access empty page. Then, you have to capture a screenshot of the page.
Simply click the Home button and side button at once to take the screenshot. On your iPhone X, you need to click the side button and the volume up button at once to capture the screen.
Step #2. Now, open Safari and head over to http://iempty.tooliphone.net Then, tap on Create BLANK icons and select Add.
Step #3. Next, tap on Choose File.
Step #4. Tap on Photo library and then select the screenshot you have just captured.
Step #5. Then, tap on Send. Now, wait for a few seconds until your photo has been uploaded.
Step #6. After your screenshot has been uploaded, scroll down to Customization section.
Step #7. Check out the grid of icons and your wallpaper in the background → Next, you have to choose the slot where you wish to set the blank icon on your Home screen. You have several options like 1×1, 1×2, 1×4, 2×1, 4×4 and more.
This is something important: If you want to put a blank icon in the first row of apps at first place, select 1×1.
Step #8. Once you have selected the preferred slot, tap on Share icon at the bottom of the screen → Select “Add to Home Screen.”
Step #9. Now, tap on Add at the top right corner of the screen.
Voila, have a look at the blank icon on your Home screen! You need to repeat the process for all icons you wish to appear as transparent.
Step #10. In the end, rearrange your app icons as desired. To do so, touch and hold on any app icon to enter edit mode and then drag an app and drop it at a place. Just make sure to leave blank spaces between them so that your wallpaper can continue to make its presence felt elegant.
Thee are two things you need to keep in mind. First, if you happen to change your wallpaper, you will need to go through the grind again to have the transparent icons on your iOS device. Besides, if you tap on the blank icons, the site will open. It’s not a big deal, and you can bear with it given how neatly it works.
