Step #1. Close Message app, if it’s opened.

Now, in the dialog box Enter ~/Library/Messages/Go to Folder Message Library in Mac OS XStep #4. Up next, you will need to select all the files which you want to remove and then move them to Trash. Remember, all the conversation attachments such as, video, audio, gif, photos etc. are stored in a separate folder. Hence, you will need to move ahead with the further steps to delete the attachment files.
