Pokémon Go for iPhone has been updated to let you change your trainer's nickname. Head over to give yourself a dashing name.

Whether it’s customizing the look of my iPhone or the user interface of any app, I’m always up for it. That’s why I felt pretty happy to have got the option to customize the look of my trainer avatar in Pokemon Go.

When Pokémon Go was rolled out amid massive buzz, I didn’t fail to get started with this awesome augmented-reality game at the earliest. Expectedly, it instantly set me on for an endless joy.

How to Change Trainer's Nickname in Pokemon Go on iPhone

Initially, I didn’t think much about giving myself a cool name. It was only later when I saw my friends donning nice nicknames that I started to crave for a better trainer nickname. Unfortunately, there was no option to do so.

However, with the release of version 1.3.0, the game has brought quite a few changes such as Sightings screen and the option to change your trainer nickname. Therefore, if you had been pinning to have a dashing name, it’s time to get it!

How to Change Your Trainer Nickname in Pokémon Go on iPhone/iPad

You can change your trainer nickname only once. Hence, make sure to find the best possible name.

Step #1. Launch Pokémon Go on your iOS device.

Step #2. Tap on the Poké Ball at the bottom center of the screen.

Step #3. Now, tap on the Settings icon at the top right-hand corner.

Step #4. Tap on Change Nickname.

Step #5. A popup will appear asking you to confirm. Tap on Yes.

Step #6. Next, you need to enter your new trainer name. Then tap on OK.
