Step #1. Launch Facebook app.

Step #2. Tap on More from the bottom right corner.

Step #4. Tap on “Who can contact me?”

Step #6. Now, you will have two options –

  • Everyone: To allow everyone to send you friend request (By default Everyone is enabled.)
  • Friends of Friends: To allow only friends of friends to send you request.

Step #7. Tap on Friends of Friends.

That’s it! From now onwards, strangers won’t be able to send you friend request. At any time, if you wish to allow everyone to send you friend request, you can follow all the above mentioned steps and then select Everyone in the end.
