Earlier there was no feature from on iPhone to markup an attachment received in email. Either we had to use third-party app or do markup on Mac. The new iOS 9 has removed this issue by giving markup facility right inside the Mail App. You can now easily add your markup on image or PDF.

Step #1. Launch the Mail app

Open Mail App in iOS 9 on iPhone

Step #2. Select the email with attachment.

Step #3. Tap and hold the attachment you want to markup and a menu will pop-up.

Step #4. Select “Markup and Reply” from the option.

Step #5. Simply add text, image, magnify and even your signature.

Step #6. Simply tap on done from top right corner once you make desired changes.

The process is nominally different in case of a PDF attachment; you will be landed on the reader mode to add your markups. Marking up email attachment was never so easy earlier, thanks to the new iOS 9.
